Simple 12-channel Problem Solver

There's nothing fancy about the Denon Professional DN-312X mixer, and that's a good thing. Sweetwater audio engineers love streamlined 1U rackmount mixers like the DN-312X for simple yet critical applications, such as location audio for video or grabbing recording feeds from live sound consoles. Six HDHQ Denon-Marantz mic preamps are remarkably clear, which can be difficult to find in a mixer capable of running from DC, and you can double up on the inputs when you run stereo line-level signals. The 3-band EQ is great for live sound applications, such as conferences and panel discussions; speaking of which, the DN-312X's adjustable priority mode makes it easy to automatically duck other levels when the announcer or host starts to speak.

Denon Professional DN-312X Rackmount Mixer Features:

  • A simple yet capable 12-channel mixer in a 1U rackmount format
  • Each channel lets you choose from a mic preamp or pair of line inputs
  • 6 proprietary Denon-Marantz preamps deliver low-noise performance
  • Mic preamps include independent phantom power switches on each channel
  • Adjustable Mic 1 Priority Control mode automatically ducks the mix under channel 1
  • Runs on AC or DC (24V/500mA binding post) power for standard and mobile use
  • Extensive I/O accommodates virtually any setup

Church Choir overhead mics mixer

This mixer worked great, took 39 minutes to set up with our sound guy Brian's help and church service went on flawlessly. Great tech support from sales staff at Sweetwater on the purchase. Looking forward to many years of trouble free sound experiences with Sweetwater. Mike

Packs a lot into a little space!

Easy to set up and even easier to use. This has gone into a fellowship space that needs to be a turn-key as possible for various church ministries and outside groups. After swapping out a (failed) powered mixer for this Denon, I have yet to receive a single phone call asking for help. One caveat, it can be a little tricky to get a good gain structure.

Nice simple mixer!

I have a seven piece band that plays out with the QSC mixer, main speakers and monitors, but sometimes we break up into a trio or quartet and can go with a very minimal set up. I've been dragging around my full sound system, but it is overkill and too much hauling for an almost acoustic cocktail party or other small event. I was looking for something simple that could accommodate 2 - 4 mics and Brad at Sweetwater suggested the Denon. It sounds great, is only 1 rack space and fits the bill for simplicity. Now I can go into a small gig with this and one or two speakers and it is easy and still sounds great. Thank you Brad and Sweetwater once again!

Great unit!!!

Low noise, capacity for all types of inputs, very flexible for various recording scenarios. We were impressed!

Quiet as a church-mouse!

I am using this as an interface between an integrated stereo amplifier and a set of powered loudspeakers. The integreated amp's "record out" goes into one of the stereo inputs and the XLR out goes to my speakers (JBL studio monitors). The mixer works as advertised and produces no audio distortion that I can hear.
