Classic Tone in a Lightweight Package

The Sweetwater-exclusive Fender '65 Twin Reverb Neo is a meticulous reissue of a true American classic. Whether your guitar has humbucking or single-coil pickups, this iconic 85-watt, all-tube combo amp serves up definitive clean tone that's perfect for rock, country, blues, jazz, fusion, and more. And it takes pedals splendidly. The Twin is devastatingly loud. Spanking clean to around "8" on its volume dial, it can go toe-to-toe with any drummer onstage, but it speaks with authority at any volume — beautifully chimey, glassy, and full-throated. Sonically, this amp is based on Fender's classic 1965 Blackface circuitry, but its eye-catching limited-edition wine-red Tolex cladding gives it a refreshingly different look. Other unique upgrades include a pair of Celestion G12 Neo Creamback speakers and a lightweight solid pine cabinet, which reduces the amp's overall weight to only 56 lbs. The Fender '65 Twin Reverb Neo is available in limited quantities — so you better reserve yours today!

Legendary tube tone, optimized for the modern player

Plug into the Fender '65 Twin Reverb Neo combo guitar amp and you'll experience legendary tube tone with an unmistakable vintage vibe. Fender manufactured the Blackface Twin Reverb amp from 1963 to '67. From its venerable 85-watt AB763 quad-6L6 circuit to its inimitable spring reverb and tremolo, G12 Neo Creamback speakers, and tilt-back legs, the Fender '65 Twin Reverb Neo delivers the classic Blackface Twin sound, optimized for the modern player.

Fall in love with your pedals again

With four Groove Tube 6L6 output tubes in the engine room, the 65 Twin Reverb Neo supplies copious clean headroom, delivering a hefty 85 watts into four ohms. Guitarists at Sweetwater love the way the Twin takes guitar pedals. Indeed, the Twin is considered by many to be the ultimate pedal platform. With the '65 Twin Reverb Neo, you can use your pedalboard to sculpt your tone — precisely, predictably, and at any volume.

The new avatar of clean

The Twin has earned a reputation through the decades as the hardest working amp in show business. From its introduction in 1963, it has appeared on countless iconic recordings. By way of endorsement, tone purist Eric Johnson relies on his vintage '68 Silverface Twin (which still incorporated Blackface circuitry) for his clean rhythm guitar sound (switching to a vintage Plexi for dirty rhythm and leads). Many musicians here at Sweetwater own a Twin — either an original or reissue — and use it relentlessly. Over half a century and still going strong. The Fender '65 Twin Reverb Neo: it's the new avatar of clean.

I have my "Twin" back! The Guitar Gods have smiled on me :-)

I owned a '60s twin in the early 70s and sold it in 75. I was so much "Older" then, I am younger than that "Now".

I have a high-end pro home studio and wanted to get the 6L6 tube sound to blend with my Kelley Boutique '82 F.A.C.S. 30/60's 6V6 tubes.

Glorious with an Ox Box, close mic'd with a Royer R-121/SM 57 combo, and at one foot, a Royer R-10.

The R-121 goes through an ELI Mike e mike pre and Com/SaT box with the Royer R-10 through a Heritage Audio HA-73 EQ 1073 mic pre into a Focusrite Clarett 8Pre using Reaper 6. The SM-57 uses a Clarett preamp. The final stereo pair is the DI from the IR on the Ox Box. I can mix a blend of the mics with a Shure Beta 57 on the Kelley for an insane tone for rock or jazz.

Being it is the Sweetwater exclusive Wine Red version with the Celestions it is 15 punds lighter than my old twin

No other amp sounds like the 85W twin reverb

My wife bought this for me for Christmas. It arrived about three weeks ago and she wouldn't let me open it until Christmas. I have wanted a twin reverb for years. Some one in another review called it his first big boy amp, and I have to echo that. I have been playing a Vox AC-15 which is a good amp but does not compare. The sound that comes out of this amp reaches deep inside me somewhere. I was really concerned it was going to be to loud to play in my music room, but it is not. I get a great sound at a very livable volume. I also read that it was a good "pedal" amp and boy were they right. I could go on and on, but this amp will change your playing.

Love this amp

I bought this amp a few months ago and just haven't had time to sit down and put it through its paces.
I sure did that today. Rode this little pony hard after warming her up a bit.
The sound is incredible at low, medium and nearly full (8ish) volume. The highs and mids are crisp and the lows are clean.
I was rattling windows and melting paint off the walls at 3 volume in my little music room so took the rig outside to hear what it would do at louder volumes. Still nice clean sounds on all the guitars I played through it.
I don't use many pedals but the few I do sounded perfect through this amp.
I was curious about the volume. I live in the hills and called my buddy that lives about 1-1/2 miles down the hill as the crow flies. I asked him to go in his backyard and tell me what he heard. He told me he heard some guy on a guitar that needs a lot of practice. But he recognized a soft ballad "Can't help falling in love" (I was surprised he could hear that one at the distance), The Bluest Blues and Whole Lotta Love. Said he heard the last two easily. That blew my mind.
I'm looking forward to much more time with this amp.
Whole I'm writing this, I want to give a big shout-out to my Sweetwater guru, Ryan Wiltermood. Guy is awesome, always there for me with the best suggestions and advice. Sweetwater and their staff are the best. Thanks for being there.
